Research

The Department of Administrative Science and Technology of the University of Patras has as its cornerstone and main mission research and the production and transmission of knowledge. For this reason, it has created the necessary infrastructure for the creation of new knowledge through research and its participation in research programs and international research organizations and collaborations. For the Department, research is a key pillar of its strategy for its sustainable development.

The activity developed by the members of the Department in the research field is based either on basic theoretical research, which aims to promote scientific and technological knowledge – this research is published in international journals, proceedings of scientific conferences, etc. – either in applied research, which has as its object the investigation of technological issues and serious problems of the economy and society.

The main objective of the Research sector is the active participation in the single European research area, through the promotion of original research programs of basic and applied research, in a wide range of scientific areas of business administration.

The Department of Administrative Science and Technology of the University of Patras has a particularly strong research orientation, emphasizing its development as an international educational attraction and the development of cooperation with academic and scientific institutions abroad. The Department aims to develop, organize and maintain partners and good international relations with a view to international scientific intervention abroad by promoting: a) the International mobility of students and staff as well as the development of international cooperation and b) the institution’s Inter-university agreements within the framework of the European educational programs.
