Aristeidis (Aris) Bakalis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Science and Technology, University of Patras. He holds a Ph.D. in Computing from the Department of Computer Science, University of  London, King’s College London UK, a Master of Science in Information Systems Engineering with Software Engineering from the South Bank University London UK, a Master of Arts in Open and Distance Education from The Open University UK, a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Technological and Educational Institute of Patras Greece and a Degree in Pedagogical Studies from PATES/SELETE Patras Greece.

Since 1991 he has been teaching Computer Science courses at the TEI of Patras, at the beginning as a part-time Lecturer and later he was elected to a permanent position. He has taught Educational Technology courses at PATES / SELETE Patras.

He has been involved in many European Programs (Leonardo, Erasmus, Tempus, Socrates, etc.), visiting Professor at European Universities through European Programs, speaker at conferences and member of the conference organizing committee. He has been the Scientific Coordinator of the Leonardo da Vinci program in the Mobility Measure and for many years the Scientific Coordinator for the Internship program of the Department of Business Administration of the TEI of Patras.

His research interests include Algorithms, Data Structures, Data Bases and e-Business.
